Free Doll Cardigan Knitting Pattern and Knitting and Reading with Ginny

So glad to be joining in with Ginny's Knit Along.

I have had this book on my wish list for a long time and when it was finally available at our library, I was glad to have the chance to read it.   It is a very easy read, hard at times to read about some of the circumstances in the life of the author's family.  Honestly, it leaves more questions than answers I think.  If you read this book, what did you think?

In addition, I have released the pattern The Belfast Baby Basic Cardigan in sizes 0 - 6 months, 6 - 12 months, and 12 - 24 months.  Thank you to Martha for sharing beautiful pictures of her newest blessing wearing the 0 - 6 month sample.

This pattern is very simple - perfect for the beginner knitter, but also wonderful for those of us who divide our attention throughout the day and would like a project that can be picked up and put down easily.  I also wanted to create a sweater that could be a staple in a baby's wardrobe - simple and functional.  We live near the beautiful small city of Belfast, here in Maine, and because it is on an ocean inlet, it is often windy and even on a summer's night, bringing along a sweater is a good idea.
